DESCALING THE SHOWER HEAD
You probably know it, after a while the shower jets no longer feel nice and soft. It is more like the hard massage jet, but without you having voluntarily chosen that option. That is often the sign that it is time to thoroughly descale your shower head. But how exactly do you do that? We would like to explain two options to you:

You can choose to descale your shower head with expensive descalers. This is not necessary at all, as there are various remedies that you probably already have at home to descale your shower head. Grab the cleaning vinegar or lemon juice.
STEP 1: REMOVE THE SHOWER HEAD
You will see a hinge between the hose and the shower head that you can loosen. If there is a lot of lime on it, this can be difficult. In that case, you reach for your toolbox. Fish out a pair of pliers and try to apply some extra force with them. Be careful not to break the hinge. If the hinge is rusty, it is best to make it rust-free first. If none of this works? Then take the old trusty WD-40.
STEP 2: SOAK
Once you have removed the shower head, fill a bucket of water with cleaning vinegar or lemon juice. For optimal results, use 1/3 units of water and 2/3 units of cleaning vinegar or lemon juice. It is important that the entire shower head is underwater. Leave this for about 24 hours.
STEP 3: RINSE BUT
After 24 hours, rinse the shower head with cold water and place it back on the hose. Then turn on the shower briefly so that the shower head is completely clean.
STEP 4: REPEAT
Unfortunately, this solution will not get rid of your limescale for good. You will have to keep descaling your shower head every so often...
